Here at Rowdy River we have but one passion and that is hunting with the best dogs that can be produced. I am proud to be a third generation breeder of gun dogs that goes back some seventy years. The kennel is named not for a nearby stream but for my grandfather's favorite dog from the mid- sixties who was universally acclaimed as the best bird dog that ever was by all who ever had the privilege to hunt behind him. My father says hunting with a mediocre dog after hunting with a Rowdy is like going back to third grade after graduating from Harvard, What's the point?

We are not really in the business of raising dogs for sale, but when we make a pairing we usually keep one pup and if you would like one we would be glad to sell you one. It will be from field proven honest to goodness bird getters and therefore apt to be a bird getter for you. He'll come with the nose, hunting instinct, and athleticism.
